Me and Jake

Stirrup to stirrup, Side by side
That's the way I like to ride.

Spur em round, Spur em down,
Spur em all the way to the ground.

Ride the trail, get the mail so I can go to the sale.

2010, Quirt Rice

Quirt comments, "I wrote this at Weeter's 10th Branding, 2010 when me and Jake were riding back
from the branding pen up the road."

Jake and Quirt and his little brother John

(Quirt Rice is the grandson of Don Hilmer. Don told us, "Besides his horse, Quirt also has a good start with a pair of young steers which are becoming a team of oxen.")
