West Texas cowboy Bob Kinford shares this photo, taken last fall taken while he was moving yearling heifers, about twenty miles west of Van Horn, Texas:
Bob writes, "I took this picture during a move of 230 yearling heifers I did by myself on a three-year-old filly with only fifteen rides."

We're looking for images that give a glimpse of the ranching, cowboy, and rural and working life of the West of today and yesterday. We welcome vintage and contemporary photos: family photos, images of where you live and work, and the area around you.

Songwriter, poet, musician, and cowboy Paul Harris has worked all over the West, in nearly every state west of the Mississippi River. Currently he is in northeastern New Mexico, day working for Randy Huston, Ben Nelson, and several other ranchers. Paul comments that these pictures "are just snapshots of my life," and he supplied some captions.
