Poet Babs Hamilton shares a photo taken in November, 2008 at her Roedham House Ranch in Deleau, Manitoba. She describes it in poetry:
On a day in early November
As the north wind blew cold and strong
We knew that old winter’s stellar bite
Too soon would be coming along.
There appeared a glorious rainbow
For a moment the rain did hold
Only to show the world around us
Our homestead was the Pot of Gold.
Babs Hamilton shared previous photos of the Manitoba prairie here in a Picture the West entry.
