Top reciter, writer and poet Jerry Brooks (known as "Brooskie" to many) shares photos of her place in southern Utah's Clear Creek Canyon and of some of the residents, wild and domesticated. She provided the captions below.
Looking south-southeast coming up from the creek at the top end of the property. Trooper is
leading the way there on the road.
About the middle of the property, looking southwest toward the wash. Trooper is
facing west, looking back toward the big pasture.
Trooper patiently waiting (last May). Good dog.
Hollyhocks just getting started blooming along the fence in front of the cabin this past summer.
Some of them got to about 12 feet tall.
The eagle has almost landed. A young Golden that's been hanging
around here off and on for almost 2 years.
Brooksie (yes, the mule's name is Brooksie) doing her Francis imitation. Actually she's
trying to eat cottonwood leaves. Sally is on the other side of the tongue.
Brooksie and Sally.
Bart and his pet magpie.
Cool, huh?
There's actually a double rainbow here, but the one to the right kept fading out just as I'd snap the photo.
Same day, same storm.
