May 6, 2016

Saskatchewan rancher and poet Linda Nadon shares photos. She writes:

These pictures were taken in October 2015 while checking cows in our various pastures on the N7 ranch near Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan in Canada. The fall colors were beautiful, we had plenty of rain and the grass was still green and plentiful and the cattle were slick and fat.

My Palomino "Wiley" standing in the doorway of the tack shed, waiting to be saddled for a day of checking cattle.

I was riding past the Cranberry Creek when I realized that it was that perfect time of day when you can catch the reflections of the cattle perfectly. This creek runs through our lease pasture.

Came across some pairs along the bush fence. All the cattle seem to be where they belong

Cattle grazing on the lease field. Fall pastures are holding out well.

A spectacular sunset on the Ranch.
