About Kathy Lundy Derengowski

A Win-Win Situation

The guys who ride the bulls tonight
Seem to have made a friend of pain
They do not suffer nerves or fright
Get hurt and quickly ride again.

The bulls just lick their lips and snort
Within the chute they form their plan
Destruction of a bucking sort
To test the mettle of a man.

The cowboy with foolhardy pride
The bull with thunder, heat and spin
Will both be scored on every ride
A sport in which both sides may win.

Kathy told us, "I am a fan of the bull riders, for their courage and heart. They inspire me always, with their spectacular rides, falls...and always, the getting up...the getting up...the getting up!"
