We were presented with an important opportunity with a challenge donation that had a deadline of October 20, 2011.
It was vital for
a most pressing need for sufficient funds for the important community outreach programs of Cowboy Poetry Week and the associated Rural Library Project.
Generous supporters met the challenge.
You did it!
The urgent October 20 challenge goal was successfully achieved.
Enormous thanks to those of you who stepped up to meet the goal (names below) and to all who support the work of the Center and CowboyPoetry.com.
Great friend and BAR-D Sponsor, sculptor Tom Morgan offered the generous challenge donation. Special thanks to him for creating the important opportunity to help save our programs.
Your support is the lifeblood of CowboyPoetry.com. This dynamic community makes possible CowboyPoetry.com, Cowboy Poetry Week and the outreach Rural Library Project, The BAR-D Roundup annual compilation CD, the annual Western art poster, gathering information cards...everything.
You'll be the first to know details about plans for our 12th annual Cowboy Poetry Week, April 15-21, 2012, which will be the best celebration yet.
Your comments and ideas are always welcome.
There is enormous reward in being a part of your community and in working with you to preserve and promote the arts and life of rural communities and the real working West.
Thank you, all.
Special thanks to those who gave toward the challenge offered by Tom Morgan:
